Quote of the Day: 4 October 2020

“Most of us consider pride to be a sin of those on the top, such as the rich and the learned, looking down at the rest of us. There is, however, a far more common ailment among us—and that is pride from the bottom looking up.” -Ezra Taft Benson

#APicADay 2020: Day 277

With everything going on today, I did not have a chance to go for a walk. I did, however, fit in a picture.

Today's image:

Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55 @ 32mm, f/4.0, 1/60 s, and ISO 160

This is dinner. Or most of it. Chicken andouille sausage, with sauteed onions and peppers. I thought the image came out decent for a make do situation used to grab an image before the end of the day.

[I have worked hard to make my children's childhood as safe as I can, but I am unable to render their existence risk free. At least not if I want them to grow and learn, and eventually become functioning adults.]

#APicADay 2020: Day 276

I got to go for a little walk on my own today. But it was just a little walk.

Today's image:

Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55 @ 55mm, f/16, 1/250 s, and ISO 160
The daisies are still going strong.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55 @ 55mm, f/16, 1/250 s, and ISO 160
As are the black eyed susans.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55 @ 55mm, f/16, 1/250 s, and ISO 160
Oak leaves, that have taken a bit of a beating.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55 @ 55mm, f/16, 1/250 s, and ISO 160
I don't know what these are.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55 @ 55mm, f/4.0, 1/2400 s, and ISO 160
These are something I don't know. They look like a combination of crocuses and lilies, but I know that isn't the case.

[I know people like this. I have been a person like this myself. Hopefully I am working toward seeking success without the procrastination, though.]

#APicADay 2020: Day 275

I took The pup on a walk this evening to get him out of the house while my wife addressed an emergency that arose at work. We went to the park. He enjoyed the swings and slides, and didn't want to leave.

Today's image:

Fuji X-T3 with XF 18-55 @ 42mm, f/16, 1/250 s, and ISO 160
I've featured these little pink flowers many times before, but not captured this way.

I am still finding these things interesting, but still don't know what they are.

I also took a bigger risk today. Usually I get multiple options for each shot, but today I am showing you everything I got.

[I hope I've been able to learn this sufficiently. Though it doesn't make the taking action or persisting portion any easier to do.]
