“Restrictions on economic freedom inevitably affect freedom in general, even such areas as freedom of speech and press.” -Milton Friedman

[If they care so little for your economic freedom, it is a good indication of how much they value your freedom in general.]

#APicADay 2020: Day 338

I hauled The pup out on a walk this afternoon. Just as the sun was getting too low to be all that helpful.

Today's image:

Fuji X-T3 with XF 55-200 @ 200mm, f/4.8, 1/26 s, and ISO 640
There are a few rose bushes still pushing out new buds. I don't know why.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 55-200 @ 172mm, f/4.7, 1/10 s, and ISO 160
There's evidence that Christmas is just around the corner.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 55-200 @ 90mm, f/3.9, 1/14 s, and ISO 160
Some oaks doggedly hold onto their leaves.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 55-200 @ 172mm, f/4.7, 1/30 s, and ISO 640
And there are rhododendrons and azaleas that have started blossoming. I guess they have been fooled by the length of the day somehow.

[Mr. Bierce is quite insightful. This realization also makes the charge far less powerful when leveled against you.]

#APicADay 2020: Day 337

I loaded the kids up into the stroller and headed out into the last light of the day.

Today's image:

Fuji X-T3 with XF 55-200 @ 55mm, f/4.0, 1/120 s, and ISO 160
This little pagoda sits in a front yard that used to be very overgrown. Things have been trimmed back significantly, and now it is actually visible.
Fuji X-T3 with XF 55-200 @ 74mm, f/4.5, 1/6 s, and ISO 160
These are just some fronds from a tuft of grass I thought were interesting.

[So, good luck figuring out when it will work, and when it won't.]

#APicADay 2020: Day 336

I couldn't get my kids to go on a walk with me today, but the neighbors have a bird feeder. I thought I would be all set.

Today's image:

Fuji X-T3 with XF 55-200 @ 200mm, f/4.8, 1/300 s, and ISO 160
I could have stopped down the aperture a bit, but I don't think my composition suffers from a depth of field that is too shallow. This intrepid little fellow is the only bird that stuck around when I came out to take a look, and none of the others came back the whole time I was there to take a picture. Silly, skittish creatures.

[Happy Giving Tuesday! I find this message from Mr. Washington to be quite empowering. So, don't allow others to steal that power with a guilt trip.]
