The mom of The pup's friend made the cakes for both her boys. This is how one of them came out (he's turning 4, and the cake is shaped like a 4. You can see the other one in the background here. It's a 2.)

This oak tree was showing lovely red shades in its changing leaves. That's unusual for the oaks in this area.

Far more common are the maple leaves that are red.

Though, sometimes, the imperfections are what really makes the subject interesting.
