Forest Grove Police Log excerpt, 15 April 2020

The selection from the log of local police activity for this week involves an overzealous hotel employee and amateur sleuth.

April 6
A hotel employee reported there was a trail of blood from an unknown source outside the location. Officers found a few drops of dried blood, but were unable to determine its source.

I'm not sure if I should be congratulating the hotel employee for diligent vigilance, mocking him for being overconfident in his conclusion that the drops were a "trail", or disappointed that my local police force can't follow a trail of blood. Too few details to be able to decide.
