I don't know what these purple flowers are, but they're lovely against this bare wooden fence.

I thought this might look interesting. It didn't result in the image I thought I would get, but it's OK anyway. It is the underside of (I think) a banana leaf.

I have learned that this is a variety of echinacea. There was a shot with two bees on the same flower, but the wind blew it just out of focus. I was disappointed.
