Forest Grove Police Log excerpt, 2 January 2019

This week's selection from the log of local police activity is a tale about a football move against a snowman.
Saturday, Dec. 22• A man reported two men had parked in front of his house and that one ran toward his 6-foot-tall inflatable snowman, tackled it, put it in the car and drove away. Security footage was obtained and officers are investigating.
I am unsure what the motivation to steal a Christmas inflatable would be, let alone why you would have to tackle one. I can understand the motivation of the victim in calling the police, but I suspect the police have more important matters to attend to.
