#APicADay 2019: Day 3, Prompt: Atmospheric

The prompt for today is atmospheric. Last night I thought I'd go out to a hay field nearby and catch the wispy remains of the morning fog. But because we're still housebreaking The pup (night time training means I get to get up in the middle of the night to take someone else to the toilet), that didn't happen. Then, I saw we had a rainy day here. At least that means no harsh light in the middle of the day. So, I thought I would try to find a rain chain (an alternative to rain gutter downspouts that are common in this area) and get an image of water running down it. That ended up not happening. But I got this instead.

#APicADay 2019: Day 2, Prompt: Framing

The prompt for today was Framing. I took this literally. I decided to see what I could get at the fence surrounding the cemetery close to my home. On the way I noticed some construction fencing around the local park that showed some promise. Ultimately, I liked those pictures better than the cemetery shots.

Forest Grove Police Log excerpt, 2 October 2019

The selection from the log of local police activity for this week is about a diminutive perpetrator.

Sept 25
A caller reported someone was standing under her security camera pointing a laser. After reviewing the tape, the perpetrator was determined to be a spider web hanging in the wind.

 I might check to see what was going on, but I doubt I'd call the police about this.

#APicADay 2019: Day 1, Prompt: Low Light

As in years past, I will take a picture each day, and post it here. I have relaxed the rules for myself this year though. In the past I have allowed myself only one shutter release, and I had to decide on the picture prior to taking it. This year I am allowed to take multiple exposures, but I have to use the day's prompt.

Prompt: Low Light

Today's prompt was Low Light. I decided to go out a little after sunset on a walk through my neighborhood, and see what I came up with. This sunflower was intriguing to me. Shot on my Fuji X-T3, XF 18-55 at 55mm, f/4.5, 1/80 s, and ISO 500. Had I taken a bit more time I would have moved my subject lower in the frame to avoid cutting off the top.
