I went for a brief walk today. I intended to get a picture of california poppies, and none of those are just outside my front door. This also meant I had to go when the light wasn't great because the poppies close up before then.

I don't know what kind of plant this flower belongs to. It may be some kind of succulent, but I'm not certain of that. I just liked it.
