This selenite crystal used to be part of a lamp, if I recall correctly. There was a base that shined various colors of light into the underside, which would then be diffused by the crystal. I illuminated it with two speedlites. One 45 degrees up and to the left as the key light, and another about 30 degrees up and 45 degrees to the right as the fill light. I was somewhat limited by the height my light stands are. I was unable to lower the fill light any closer to being on level with the crystal.
