Forest Grove Police Log excerpt, 31 July 2019

The selection from the log of local police activity this week is actually two items from the log.
July 22
A convenience store employee reported that a man wearing a Cookie Monster shirt came into the location in the middle of the night, opened and ate half of a package of cookies, and then left the location without paying. The alleged cookie monster was gone on police arrival.
July 23
The alleged cookie monster came into the FGPD to confess that he had indeed taken a cookie from the convenience store, and that the incident was a misunderstanding. This entry was brought to you by the letters C and T, and the number 3, as in Citation for Theft 3.
I'm grateful I live in a city with a sufficiently low enough level of crime for this to make the police log, as well as that the department has enough of a sense of humor to report it in this manner. I'm also grateful that the perpetrator felt remorse to the point of confessing, and bearing the consequences.
