Forest Grove Police Log excerpt, 7 November 2018

This week's selection from the log of local police activity brings us a tale of a dangerous driver.
Oct. 28* Night shift officers stopped a vehicle driving approximately 80 mph on Pacific Avenue. The driver was arrested for suspected DUII.
Pacific Avenue is the main thoroughfare through town. And Forest Grove is a small city. The speed limit ranges from 40 mph at the city limits down to 25 mph through the heart of town. Therefore, this individual was going at least twice the legal speed limit. I would be shocked if the driver had not been arrested. I am pretty impressed they were able to push their speed up to 80 on that stretch though.
There were several other items of note there, but seeing as Halloween was in this time period, I thought it was too easy to select one of those.
