I had hopes of getting out for a walk this evening, which did not happen.

This is one of several pictures I took of this sample at various focal lengths. This just happened to be the one I liked best. The one at 34 mm was also quite good, and I struggled to choose between the two. Ultimately, I liked this one that filled the frame with the subject more than the other one a bit better.
I don't know what this is though. It was one of two pieces sitting on a tag that read Dravite tourmaline. So, I couldn't tell you if that tag pertained to this sample or the other one.
